
I’m currently working in a behavioral health unit and learning as much as I can about this vulnerable population while caring for them. I’m also the co-chair of our unit’s shared governance council and am a member of our evidene based practice an innovation and research council. Lastly, I’m a member of a system-level workgroup analyzing workplace violence reporting and follow up, which is my area of research interest.
I’m hoping to use this site to explore different creative ways of learning about myself, and the world I live in related to all the things I’m into like punk music, skateboarding culture, politics, nursing (and all types of) research.
I enjoy research about the intersection of health care and nature have recently taken pictures of a pretty rare albino squirrel at Franklin Park here in Columbus, OH where Ting Ting and I go for walks regularly.
I have been meditating daily using the Healthy Minds Program app out of UW-Madison for the last year and have become increasingly interested in pursuing contemplative science in some capacity beyond using it in daily life. To live a life of meaning and compassion towards others really is important to me.

We’ve seen this squirrel a few times, which is pretty amazing
